Programming Instructions Protégé CD 5400, 5001 and Audio Emcee 5001 ***NOTE: You must use the Remote control to program the player!***
To Clear The Memory: Press STOP on the remote control twice.
To Program The Memory: NOTE: The memory has twenty slots for programmed tracks. You may program the tracks in any order and you may program a track to play more than once, but each time a track number is entered into the memory, it fills a memory slot. Only tracks 1-20 will appear in the track grid when programmed; anything above 21 will appear on the left hand side of the display when entered into the memory and will only appear again while that track is playing. 1. Turn the CD player “ON.” 2. Make sure “PROGRAM” and “REPEAT” appear on the player’s display. If they do not appear on the display, press the REPEAT BUTTON and the PROGRAM BUTTON on the remote control to make them appear. Make sure the display shows “REPEAT” and not “REPEAT 1.” 3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray and insert the disc writing side up in the disc tray and press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray. To erase programming, press “Stop” button twice. 4. Choose the messages and the playing order from your track legend or booklet. 5. Enter your selection by pressing the numbered buttons. PLEASE NOTE: A single digit track will appear with a - (dash) next to it after it's entered. Wait for the dash to disappear before you enter your next track selection! 6. After all selections are made, verify that “Program” and “Repeat” are shown in the display. (If display shows “RPT1” or is blank, press “Repeat” button until “RPT” shows in the display.) 7. Press “Play.” |
